Henry is ready for summer with his new swimming pool.

Yesterday was Rich's birthday! We won't say which birthday it was - suffice to say that it is over 40 - waaaaay over! Brent, Becca, and Henry took us all out to Smoky Mountain Pizza. We had a great time - Henry entertained us and everyone else. He is quite a comedian (and flirt). Anyway, thanks dear, for being such a wonderful husband. I LOVE YOU!

May 31st was HENRY'S FIRST BIRTHDAY & we celebrated it in style. Henry, Becca, Brent, Nana and Papa Robinson, Aunt Kelly, Aunt Hollie, Grandma and Grandpa Watson, Grandma Marge, Great-Grandma and Grandpa Watson, Uncle Thad, Aunt Jamie, and Kara, Sam and Julianne (friends of Becca and Brent) were on hand to see Henry open gifts and eat a chocolate lion cupcake! Henry was in great spirits - he smiled, clapped, walked (he just started walking this week), and charmed everyone. He got so excited with all of his gifts and happily shared them with Julianne. He has such a fun personality!

Wow, I haven't blogged in over a month! Shame on me! It was an exciting month. Here are some of the highlights: We had a pastoral candidate come for a week early in April with activities and Q & A sessions nearly every night. Kelly spent a weekend in the hospital and another week recuperating and visiting doctors. Henry was very sick for a week with everyone (Brent, Becca, Grandma Watson, Jamie, and me) covering for Henry's daily care since he couldn't go to the babysitter's house. Piano recitals, cleaning The Studio (where I teach piano), Summer Camp Fair (Kindermusik was represented). Weekly: 18 piano students, three Kindermusik classes, 7 Early Learning Center Music Classes, and Baby & Me class Rich started working some overtime at IVI (International Ventilation Inc.). Does life ever slow down? NEWS FLASH! After 9+ months of being without a pastor, our church called Randy Cook as Senior Pastor on Sunday & he accepted. PTL! We are so excited! Pastor Cook ...

Hollie hadn't slept well the night before so she was getting a nap & of course, Lysander joined her. Lysander used to live with us and then with Becca but now he is one of Hollie's menagerie. Hollie also has a Siamese cat named Fender and Van and Lucy, her two black labs.

Hollie turned 26 yesterday!! We had a fun birthday party with the family. Hollie had a few rough days recently so it was her turn to get spoiled and fussed over. We had salmon, capellini, salad, rolls, and Angel Food pie. Mmmmmnn! Hollie made dinner for us on Monday night at her house - Becca and Henry were there too! Hollie we are so grateful for you! You are our expert on our animals so you can be sure that Bastian, Sadie, and Ferguson are very glad that you help take care of them! Thanks so much!

At long last, I have some new pictures to share! Henry will be 10 months old on March 31! It is hard to believe! He is crawling all over the place - there is nothing stopping him now! Here Nana and Henry are loving on Ferguson (our Cairn Terrier that Hollie is training). Henry loves the dog & the cats! He gets so excited when they get near that he shakes all over!

We had a wonderful time celebrating Becca's birthday on Saturday. Becca, Brent, and Henry came over for dinner. Our praise is that Henry is feeling SO MUCH better! It took two trips to the doctor and plenty of antibiotics but Henry's ear infections seem to have cleared up. We are thankful! Our prayer request today is that Kelly is quite sick. She has been running a fever since Saturday night and she is having trouble breathing. She has had this problem a few times - the infection has been in her chest. Anyway, today we are trying to get in to see a respiratory specialist. I have cancelled my morning classes so that I can take care of her. The complication is that she is house sitting for an acquaintance and caring for his dogs. The house is 10 miles away from us. We have been back and forth a few times to care for Kelly & the dogs. I brought her home last night but Rich went back to stay overnight so that he could feed & water the dogs. I hope that we can keep up with ...

Today is Rebecca Joy's 28th Birthday! What a joy she is to everyone that she knows! Thank you, Lord, for bringing Becca into our family. She is a wonderful wife (at least that is what Brent says), mom, daughter, friend, and faithful follower of Jesus. Have a great day, Becca! We love you!

I bought Henry a snow suit during the cold snap (on 60% clearance) because I worried that he wasn't warm enough. Isn't he precious? It hasn't been too cold lately so he is back to his light jackets - I hope that he can wear this a few more times.

Henry is really into clapping right now. It is so cute! He also waves bye-bye (even if you aren't going anywhere). This music teaching grandma is especially excited that he taps his toys "in time" to the music. A very talented little guy, indeed! He has been sick since last Wednesday with an ear infection & fever. Pray that he will start feeling better. He went to the doctor on Wednesday & got amoxicillin but he's now coughing & congested (and still feverish) so Becca is going to call the doctortoday to see what she suggests. He has been so snuggly and sweet even while feeling miserable. Today he is with Grandma Watson (she is off for President's Day) and I know that she is enjoying spending the day with him. He is our precious little valentine! Henry has been able to come with me on Fridays to Village. He loves being with the other babies and moving and playing instruments with the music. I am always sad to take down our decorations. I especially love the effect of the Christmas lights.

We had some Christmas pictures of Henry taken & they are precious! Here is a glimpse of one of my favorites! This will be such a fun Christmas with our sweet baby boy. Henry can sit up and play for 1/2 hour without getting fussy or falling over. He has a great sense of humor and is a very happy little guy! He loves to be tickled (what a cute chuckle he has). In short, he is growing up and we are enjoying him so much! By the way, our precocious baby is reading "The Polar Express" in this picture! Nana gave the book to him last Christmas (before he was born).

Happy Thanksgiving! We are so thankful for: Salvation (Oh, what grace) God's Holy Word - It gives encouragement, comfort, exhortation, wisdom, & hope. (I could go on & on) A wonderful loving family (including a darling grandson) Our new church addition (we are finally using it) Coffee!!!! (no explanation is necessary - I'm of Norwegian descent) Our home (God has blessed us so much) Books (so many books, so little time) to read Warm clothes (hey, I'm freezing most of the time) Visits to McCall (I need a lake "fix" every so often) Family and Friends near and far (they are the best) Opportunities for service (Sunday School, Children's Church, choir, Women's Ministry, etc.) Jobs we enjoy. (Kindermusik, teaching piano, "flipping' homes, real estate) MUSIC (food for the soul) our pets (Sadie, Bastion, Lysander, and Fergeson) and so much more. . .

Henry is going to be a mixture of jock and scholar . He is already a lover of books (okay, the book is usually in his mouth - but he loves it). His Mama has his copy of Goodnight Moon in his diaper bag so it can be read at a moment's notice. He also loves Goodnight, Gorilla (Nana gave him that one). Nana & Henry read together alot when he is at our house. Recently we had fun reading Chicka, Chicka Boom Boom . He loved the rhythm of that! However, his Daddy is working hard to make sure that Henry is a sport lover! Note his cute tennis shoes & the basketball hoodie! Most of his clothes have some kind of sports theme (football & basketball are the favorites). He has a football rattle, a basketball hanging toy on his carrier, & all kinds of other ball toys!! I am sorry that I've been so remiss in keeping up with my blog & giving you new pictures of Henry . He sure is a sweetie! He has been sick with a head cold & cough so the smiles have been scarce recently. Grandma Watson had the day off from work so she is babysitting today & tomorrow Becca will be home with him (she's been sick, too) so I am baby-less for a couple of days. Here is a picture of Brent , Becca , and Henry on Halloween . The pumpkin outfit was given to Henry by Becca's boss (whose little boy wore it last year). Henry looked so cute!!
