More Pictures

I absolutely love these pictures Jack. He is awake more and has more expressions everyday. Today he "smiled" at Becca. He is a cutie!

Iyana, Jack, and Henry at Fuller Park

Amanda B. (Iyana's mom) took these darling pictures of Iyana, Henry, and Jack at Fuller Park last Tuesday. She is a very good photographer!! Thank you, Amanda! Iyana is such a sweet little mother to both of the boys! Henry adores her! The day we went to the park, Henry had a bad tummy ache. He would play for awhile and then crumble in tears (when his stomach ache would flare up). All through the time, Iyana was patient and so caring. What a sweetie!

Redfish Lake and Ferguson Getting Cozy

Last Saturday Rich and I biked around part of Redfish Lake and had our lunch on the picnic tables in front of Redfish Lodge. We played Scrabble and watched all the boats out on the lake. It was too cold for us to swim but there were a few hardy souls out in the water. I mentioned in the last blog that the dogs were cold - Ferguson curled up in our Bronco blanket with his head on Rich's pillow. When we went to bed, he burrowed down into my sleeping bag with me!! Sara, we would love to have you go camping with us!! Idaho is a great place to camp!

Beautiful Idaho

Hollie and Tyree and their three dogs are true campers. They like to rough it a bit more than Rich and I do! We like to have some of the creature comforts! I am so thankful for our camper. Our campsite was very close to a beautiful stream. We loved hiking and biking in the area. The evenings and mornings were very cold. Friday night (July 14) the temperature got down to 25 degrees Saturday night the temp was 28 degrees). Needless to say it was cold - even the dogs had to have blankets around them. Ferguson (our Cairn Terrier) got even more comforable!!

Our August Camping Trip Was Awesome!

Here are some more pictures of our camping trip to Stanley. We camped at a remote spot about 6 miles out of Stanley. We were completely isolated. It was great!! Kelly and Dan (a musician that she often performs with) performed outside of Redfish Lodge on Wednesday, July 12 from 6-8:30. I have included a picture of them performing. Kelly, Jason, Hollie, Tyree, Rich and I (and four dogs) camped together.

Praise the Lord for a New Job!

I am starting next week at a new job working at Lowell Scott Middle School in the library. At this time it is a part time position but I am praying that it will turn into full time eventually! At least I have a foot in the door with the Meridian School District. I will continue to teach piano - I am shooting for 20 students. I have 10 now and I've had another 5 show interest in starting in Sept. so I think that I can reach my goal. I am finished working at Citi. I never went back after fracturing the bone in my hand. My temp position was finished the week that my doctor gave me clearance to go back to work. If I wanted to stay at Citi, I would have needed to interview for the position that I had been doing for 3 months. It seemed that this was the best time to give my notice. The job just wasn't for me (at least not permanently). The Lord has been teaching me so much about trusting in Him. I just finished reading Esther and now I am reading Job (in my daily Bible reading). The...

New Pictures of My Boys

Henry is helping his Daddy blow out the candles on his birthday pie! Here is Jack at Brent's 29th birthday party with Brigette (Brent's Mom). Papa is reading "Two Little Trains" by Margaret Wise Brown and Chicka, Chicka abc by John Archambault and Bill Martin Jr. Henry really loves these books! He loves to be read to and will even sit through long books like Mike Mulligan And His Steam Shovel (by Virginia Lee Burton). This is pure joy to this children's book loving nana!!! He loves to come to Nana's and read all the books that I have - he knows his favorites! Here is our sweet little Jack. He is 5 weeks old today. Jack, Henry, Becca, Amanda and Iyanna invited me to go to the park with them today. We brought lunch and the two older children played and we ate our lunch. The temperature was about 75 degrees - it was perfect!
