Robinson Ramblings

Although Henry turns "3" on Monday, May 31, he had a birthday party on Friday, May 28. Brent has to go back to work today so we had to celebrate a bit early (Brent is on the night shift). Grandpa and Grandma Watson, Aunt Jamie, Uncle Thad, and Ben, Liz, Olivia, and Logan Knotts, Auntie Hollie, Tyree, Auntie Kelly, Jason, Nana and Papa, Mommy, Daddy, and Jack helped Henry celebrate. It was such a fun evening. Henry was excited and a bit overwhelmed. We gave him a ukelele and he and Kelly sang one of her songs together! He LOVES music, and rockets, and tractors, and trains and planes, and cars, and . . . . Becca made a beautiful quilt for his big boy bed. She has a little bit of handstitching that she wants to do yet but it was "finished" and ready to try out.

My sweet grandsons are growing up - Henry will be three in 8 days and Jack is 10 months old! They are changing and maturing daily. I watched the boys on Friday afternoon until Becca got home from work and on Sat. for a few hours while Becca got her hair cut (Brent was sleeping - he is on his 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. shift). They are so precious (and busy)!!

A few weeks ago Hollie was laid off from her job. She didn't let any grass grow under her feet - she contacted one of the vets she worked with in the past & started filling in at his vet clinic. She applied for unemployment and followed up on a few leads. Well, her hard work paid off & she got a job as an insurance underwriter for a pet insurance company. Her first day was last Monday. She is enjoying the job so far and is learning alot. There is quite a bit of opportunity for growth & income advancement. Hollie will continue to work on Saturdays for Dr. Gillis (the vet) and keep her vet tech skills polished.

We had a wonderful Easter service at church that was truly glorifying to the Lord. I am so grateful for what Christ did for me - dying on the cross and saving me from the consequences of my sin. Praise the Lord that Christ is risen from the dead - He conquered sin and death so that I might have life eternal!! Becca's sister-in-law invited us to enjoy Sunday dinner with them (and Brigette, Becca, and the boys). Ron and Brent worked all night so they were sleeping during our time together. We got some precious pictures of Henry, Jack, and Benjamin.

Becca and Brent's friend, Marvin, dressed up in his bunny costume and gave us some great opportunities for photo-ops!! Marvin's daughter, Rachel, helped Henry search for Easter eggs - they found lots!! Henry said, "I wasn't afraid of the bunny. I was brave!!"

On Saturday, March 27 we celebrated Hollie's birthday and had a campfire in the Watson's backyard. Here are some of the fun pictures from that day.

I am not sure what Rich was doing with his salad!!!! Here were some pictures of our celebration for Hollie's birthday (March 25). Kelly was sick and wasn't able to be with us and Brent had to go to work just as we met to celebration. However, Henry and Jack had a grand time helping Auntie Hollie open her gifts and eat her cheese cake.

I can't believe that it has been over a month since I blogged!! Life is busy! Highlights of the past few weeks: Becca turned 30 on February 23 & we celebrated with a party at Sakana's restaurant (Brent planned the whole thing). There were 22 people on hand to help celebrate with Becca. We all love her!! Henry, Jack, Becca, Brent, Rich and Hollie were sick with colds & or flu (in Jack's case in may have been related to teething:). Hollie is still not feeling too great but everyone else is much better. Jack cut his first tooth! He is scooting forwards and backwards as well. Amazing boy!! Prayer Request: My niece, Kari Tackeberry's daughter, Alisa, is having surgery on Monday to remove a mass that is near her spinal column. They have been trying to find out what is going on with Alisa for over two months because she has been in so much pain each night when she would try to sleep. Please pray for this precious 7 year old! Kari, Ted and family are trusting the Lord f...

This is the first week since my fall on December 15, that I have felt almost normal. I still have headaches but the vertigo and nausea are gone & my energy level is back. I am soooooo thankful. I have been going to the chiropracter twice a week for three weeks and it has been helping. Thanks for all of your prayers! Becca took these pictures of the boys with her phone. Henry is crazy about his Thomas the Train set & Jack seems quite taken with it as well. I wanted to show that Jack can smile for the camera!!

Jack is usually such a happy baby but it seems whenever I take a picture, he gets very serious!

I was off on Monday for Martin Luther King Day and so I was able to watch Henry and Jack while Becca was at work. I got some cute pictures of the boys and also of Becca after she came home. Henry had a little bit of a melt down (can't remember why) and crumpled to the floor but he couldn't stay sad very long!

Look who is sitting up - with a little help! We tried taking a family picture on Christmas Eve - this is the best picture of the bunch. It would have been better if we had a person to point and shoot instead of a delayed flash but what can you do . . . .

On Christmas Eve we had a birthday cake for Jesus. We sang Happy Birthday and Henry helped by blowing out the candles! He said, "Is it my birthday Becca said, "It is Jesus' birthday." Henry said, "Yes, it is my birthday and Jesus' birthday!" He also "helped out" by testing the frosting before cutting into the cake. You never know if it will be good!! Here is a picture of Kelly crocheting a snowflake for a gift. Kelly crochets all the time now & makes beautiful gifts! She made me a scarf with a delicate pattern that she developed herself. She is very talented!
